Plot : Danny and Bernard are two single men who live in Chicago. When Danny meets Debbie at a bar in Elk Grove Village, the two start a relationship from a one night stand. Danny's life then takes a different turn, and he has problems committing to his life with Debbie, who realizes his phobia with the help of her friend Joan. The film follows the couple from the beginning of their relationship to its end.

Synopsis : Loosely based on David Mamet's stage play, "Sexual Perversity in Chicago",About Last Night delves deeper into modern relationships amongst young adults and is much more charming and heartwarming than Mamet's single act stage play.In my humble opinion this little movie, directed by Edward Zwick, the director of the civil war drama "Glorya", gives one of the most accurate perceptions of the various forces at work in modern relationships (as they were in that era, anyway).The film follows a young couple (Lowe and Moore) as they fall in love and set up home in Chicago, and wryly observes the reactions of their friends (played by Belushi and Perkins) to this romance that, of course, means that they see much less of their former roommates and best friends.

The movie carefully retains an upbeat style, never loses its sense of humour and is a goldmine of 80's cliches in both the filmmaking and clothing styles.Women like it for it's genuine heart and romance. Guys like it because it, for once, accurately conveys male bonding and the pressure they are put under from their friends when settling down with a girl.Definitely a good one to watch with a loved one (or future loved one). Wallow in the nostalgia of 80's clothing, music and social scene as it is conveyed on screen and enjoy the thoughtful, sensitive script played with sincerity by this bunch of leading lights from the 80's. Belushi is never funnier, Lowe never acted better and Demi never looked better...

Gia (1998) - Hollywood movie

This movie is angelina jolie's unrated scene. Novelist Jay McInerney and playwright Michael Cristofer (who also made his feature film directorial debut) collaborated on the script for this bio of doomed supermodel Gia Carangi. In a star-making performance, Angelina Jolie stars as Gia, a gorgeous Philadelphia native who arrives in New York City to become a model and immediately makes an impression on high-powered agent Wilhelmina Cooper (Faye Dunaway). Gia's fierce good looks make her a star, as does her willingness to pose nude. Gia becomes entangled in a passionate affair with a photographer's assistant, Linda (Elizabeth Mithcell), but Linda is more conflicted about her bisexuality, driving Gia away and fueling the model's craving for mood-altering drugs. Failed attempts at reconciliation with both Linda and her mother Kathleen (Mercedes Ruehl) drive Gia further over the edge from cocaine to heroin, her emaciated body and sunken eyes becoming the catalyst for the "heroin chic" look. Although Gia is eventually able to kick her powerful habit, she learns that an infected needle has resulted in her contracting the AIDS virus. For the second year in a row, a made-for-TV film resulted in an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe victory for Jolie.
Short synopsis :

Synopsis :
While set within the milieu of the Los Angeles adult film industry, Boogie Nights is less a film about pornography than the serio-comic story of a group of misfits, losers, and lost souls who are embraced by Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds), a director who makes "adult films, exotic motion pictures." In 1977, while hanging out at a disco, Jack spots Eddie (Mark Wahlberg), the new busboy at the club, and tells him he's convinced "there's something wonderful inside those jeans waiting to get out." Jack knows his business well and his expert eye has not betrayed him; Eddie is a pornographer's dream -- good looking, remarkably endowed, and willing and able to do as many takes as might be needed. The product of a woefully dysfunctional upbringing, Eddie is not terribly bright but is very ambitious and eager to prove he has a "special something" to share with the world. Eddie changes his name to Dirk Diggler and quickly becomes the biggest star in hardcore. The Name Of The Rose (1986)

Short Story : Medieval murder mystery starring Sean Connery and Christian Slater.

Sex scene : On first appearance this film was just about some monks but then - bam! - the infamous 'roll in the hay' scene begins between Slater and his Chilean co-star Valentina Vargas.

long Story : Rose presents a very unusual detective story. Set in a 14th century Italian monastery, we meet Brother William of Baskerville (Sean Connery), a monk who comes for a debate between his Franciscan order and representatives of the pope. They plan to discuss whether the church should be poor or not. William brings his young novice Adso (Christian Slater) with him, and they immediately encounter a problem. Brother Adelmo recently died under suspicious circumstances, and if William doesn’t investigate, some fear the Inquisition will eventually come to check out the matters.

This sets up a battle between faith and science. William adopts clinical investigation methods, but others feel that evil spirits caused Adelmo’s demise. William thinks Adelmo killed himself, but another corpse turns up before he develops his theory. Greek translator Venantius (Urs Althaus) was clearly murdered, but William remains convinced Adelmo committed suicide and he doesn’t know if there’s a connection between the two.
Adso wanders the grounds and meets malformed hunchback Salvatore (Ron Perlman) who offers a possible clue. We start to get information from Salvatore about a parchment that went from Adelmo to Venantius. Assistant librarian Brother Berengar (Michael Habeck) seems to be the key, but William can’t find him, and he’s not allowed to visit the abbey’s library.

The movie follows the investigation but doesn’t conclude when William makes his determination. Instead, Bernardo Gui (F. Murray Abraham) of the Inquisition comes and takes over the hunt. He runs a search for heretics, and we learn of William’s past as an inquisitor. The rest of the flick depicts what happens between the two sides and also includes the fate of a local peasant girl (Valentina Vargas) who seduces Adso. Download movie for complete story...[ ]

Synopsis
